I have mixed thoughts on the subject. I like to write and there are times I have a vivid image in my mind from the story. Ai allows me to see these in near real time and often they have a certain number of attempts for free making it cost effective. On the other hand, I realize a lot of artists have honed their craft for decades and without such requests, it makes things harder for them at times to get enough income to survive.
I think the end result will come along your talking point of viability. If it becomes profitable, ai will come for just about any job. That will leave us in a very uncertain time as if all jobs are automated who is going to have the money to buy anything?
