The funniest? part of all this is that we cannot program AI to preserve the Earth and its ecosystems without explicitly stating NOT to exterminate humanity (like trying to phrase a wish correctly when you have an evil Genie). The best thing you could do for Earth and its ecosystems currently would be to exterminate humanity; any intelligence would come to that conclusion.
