This is crazy. And I was so on board until the end, where teenagers going to prison for 6 month to a year wasn't a good enough punishment for making fake pictures. You obviously don't know what prison is or what it does. Longer times in prison wouldn't help anyone on either end... unless your goal is to try to breed unredeemable deviants; turn the stupid kid into a hardcore criminal; the kind that does more than making deep fakes. That may rub you the wrong way but it's reality.
Prison generally doesn't make people better people. They either learn quick from the realization of punishment, or become worse. Longer sentences don't help.
