I'm not an expert but it seems to me that what we have, are iterating upon and call "AI" is fundamentally different from what we (and presumably a lot of businesses) understand as being "AI". I don't see how improving upon LLMs will develop into AI that can truly understand and reason in the same way that iterating on the internal combustion engine didn't yield the nuclear reactor. They're fundamentally doing completely different things. I wonder if the penny is starting to drop on this.
