I have EDS/BJHS, it affects my hands in particular. When I was about 16/17 years old, it became too painful for me to draw and write by hand. I had to finish my homework and high-school exams using a computer keyboard. I had to save my hands for my art exam which was a 2 hour long drawing session. It was the last time I've drawn for a prolonged period because holding a pen or brush is just too painful. I'm not disabled by my condition in my day to day but making art the way I used to is no longer accessible. Now, I embroider, knit, make bead jewellery and crochet. I use my hands to make beautiful things and although I can't draw, I am perhaps an even better artist than before because my challenges pushed me into different mediums that I'm really happy to explore. I can make art comfortably and thoroughly enjoy it now in a way that traditional or digital drawing unfortunately bring me significant pain and just isn't enjoyable. The argument that art isn't accessible is almost never brought up by artists who have a disability or barrier of entry because art is SO varied that one medium being inaccessible usually just means a disabled artist might find more enjoyment and success in a different medium or using a different tool or process. Art is so vast that it is by its very design universally accessible because there isn't one single entry point. If there was only one kind of art or one way to do art, then maybe there could be some argument regarding accessibility but that logic fails when you look at real world art. There's so many ways to be an artist that disability is an issue of logic and logistics rather than a complete nonstarter. Instead of disabled artists "I can't make art", the thought process is more "/how/ can I make art." Once you answer the how, you're an artist baby!!!! And AI isn't the answer because when you type a prompt you don't realistically make *any* of the art
