Hey Sam, what are your thoughts on people comparing human artists getting inspired by other artists, to a machine learning model getting "inspired" by other artists. A lot of people seem to support the fact that these two are not different at all.
As someone said: "Copying style and learning anyone's work is a basic freedom, in all areas of life, by any means, including computer software. Limitations on this freedom are both impractical, tyrannical, and anti-human.". This just really pisses me off as I can see where he's coming from but the statement is just so ignorant. These two are completely different, but I just can't find a way to explain this to AI bros who don't understand the process of art at all.
I also agree with everything you've said in the video. I'm rooting for you artists :(
