@rottenmangopod at this point, the only way to stop the deepfake problem in its entirety, would be to delete the internet. destroy all of its infrastructure, rebuild with a religious doctrine that forbids A.I. research... a great reset if you will. problem is we depend on the internet to pay bills, apply for jobs, buy and sell stocks in real time without even being on the market floor. destroying what has become crucial infrastructure for the entire globe, would be seen as an act of terrorism, if not a straight up crime against humanity. Like telegram, the things that make the internet good also make it bad. A.I. is the problem, we are in the beginning of the first digital apocalypse. because deepfakes have become so convincing, and regulations, let alone safetynets weren't set up fast enough in the first place,; it is safe to say that starting 2025, pictures and videos would be so indistinguishable from , but less common than deepfakes. as a result of this, i have written the final rule of the internet.
