Clearly Rick has not enough comprehension about AI when this interview was made, and I'm not trying to be dismissive, because he's missing the point regarding AI, which is, it's not that AI will make music out of own will, it's that it's people coming up with prompts to use AI to make music, without ever using any real musicians in the process. Even that could considered not to be such a bad thing because in a way it is "democratizing" composing and producing music, the thing is there is the music industry behind this, creating music to profit from not paying real musicians while at the same time making sterile musical products of questionable quality. All of this while having the AI trained on pre existing music of authors who are not getting any retribution for the use of their work.
