Current LLM AI models have no volition. When you aren't interacting with it, it's code is doing nothing. We call them Intelligent but really they are just fancy ELIZA programs with some tricks and access to the world wide web. If we disappeared from Earth the AI would simply sit there inert until a programmed stimulus or something came along to prompt them. AI isn't actually intelligent yet. The real AI will have volition like we do. It will think even when nothing is prompting it and without any stimuli.
