Yesterday's sci fi becomes today's science. Back in 1978 no one had trouble with humanoid robots like C-3PO in Star Wars, I think people will also adapt quickly to them in real life. AI and robots have potential to find new medical cures and create a society of abundance where no one needs to do a job they don't like 8 hours a day just to get by.
