The difference between AI and photography is:
- Photographers take credit for the composition, they don't claim credit over the subject (like how Shad believes his Supergirl is his creation because of comp edits)
- Composition is observation of a raw scene. The curtain between the first text prompt and the first AI image is entirely opaque, AI "artists" don't even know what the subject looks like until the composition is already done for them.
- Prompt refining an AI image isn't composition, it is the literal word "prompting". If I ask a chef to cook a meal and send it back to the kitchen several times with notes, I am not a chef.
- Photographers do not compete with their subjects.
