If the AI comes for my programming (and, while I don't think it can replace what I do, I think what might happen is that the industry doesn't want what I do (code that works, is maintainable, efficient, elegant, performant, correct) and is satisfied with AI slop code) then I will continue programming.
The programming I've enjoyed the most has been on personal projects. Writing little utilities to automate various things. Writing services for my own use. Writing firmware for hardware I use. I will continue doing that, it brings me joy in life.
