I actually don't see the problem with AI taking jobs. What is the problem with making technology so humans need to do less work and can focus on other things instead? We could redistribute the remaining jobs into smaller positions and by this uplift work conditions and reduce the amount of time each person needs to work to earn the same amount of money.
The problem is only because of our "profit-maximizing society". This economic system needs a big change, and the issue with losing a job stems from our current system, not from AI itself.
The problem has always been and always will be greedy people who want to exploit others. The issue is that those who have enough money to make "money work for them" still want to make us all work more and get less for the same amount of work. It's not even capitalism anymore; it's essentially feudalism wrapped slightly differently.
