To elaborate on one of the comments you put onscreen that was asking what the difference between ai ‘art’ and human art, 2:53, Art made by real people, it’s something that us artists spend time on, sometimes a doodle that takes a few minutes, or other times a fully illustrated piece that takes several days, weeks, or even months. (And don’t even get me started on animation.) but more than anything, it creative expression, putting your thoughts onto paper, (or a drawing tablet) each stroke made with a purpose. Ai ‘art’ is something made within a few seconds that has no human creativity behind it. You could say that you making the prompt is you being creative, but what is that if not the equivalent of thinking, “oh, what if I made a drawing of llamas in bikinis at a pool?” It’s just a thought, you never actually make that drawing. The image that the Ai makes was mushed together from commands the Ai was given, along with stolen “inspiration” as many people call it, from real artists. It didn’t actually make those strokes, it’s just splashes of color with no creativity behind it. And listen, I understand where your coming from when you say that art is art, that’s an image that isn’t a photo right? Yeah that’s art. I understand, but Art isn’t simply about drawings, if you google the definition of art, here’s the two answers you’ll get: the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. And the various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance. HUMAN CREATIVE SKILL, I did not fiddle with that, THATS WHAT GOOGLE SAYS. So if you NEED to make Ai art, please, keep it to yourself. I was fascinated by the idea of images being generated in seconds when it first started too, but i would go as far as to say that it disgusts me now.
