So-called "artificial intelligence" will have even more general harmful effects, like the elimination of semi-intellectual jobs (to the extent that it works or is believed to work). As to whether it has already or is about to eclipse human intellect, consider the article "How big was Carrington's sunspot?" in the June 6 edition of spaceweather -- ChapGPT gives a completely incorrect and ahistorical answer to that question.
