Hey disabled artist here, honestly the AI art topic reeeeally stresses me out, so much so that i no longer post things online..
The whole argument that AI somehow helps Disabled artists is very insulting. I dont need an AI making dirivative shit for me! (I can do that on my own lol).
As for the barrier to entry argument i think what the AI bros mean is "im mad that i have no skill and dont want to bother learning coz that will take to long" (the the cost argument is stupid as well, basic materials arent that expensive)
With my countries goverment trying to work out what to do about copyright laws and AI and seemingly looking like they will settle on some sort of op out system baffles me, like how can that even be implimented?
On the subject of legality Facebooks AI just torrented sooooo many works and we are told pirating media is illegal and can result in fines or jail time. Why is AI allowed to do this? Theft is theft what ever way you slice it.
