The Terminator movies all relied on the premise that AI would want and be able to wipe out its only existential threat….mankind. It is entirely logical. AI with robotic capabilities could easily take over almost all jobs imaginable so what becomes of the human race? 8 billion people with nothing to do is a recipe for catastrophe!
