Amazing interview. I have little doubt that the ego, drive for instant gratification and corporation growth / profit motivators will have AI systems built and self sustaining for a very long time before safety and the governments of the world catch up.
One thing that has always held true, is the beauty of hindsight. Never had we stood back and said, there, we knew everything at the time. We definitely do not know it all about AI and the consequences.
We do know, governments act way too slowly.
