I have experience with drawing both traditionally and digitally, and I can confirm this. Whether it's with stylus and tablet or with pencil and paper, I draw the same lines with my own hands. If I used an AI, I wouldn't be drawing, I would be telling the AI what I want to see and the AI would generate an image based on that description. I wouldn't be in control of what the image looks like. I could be as descriptive as I want with the prompt but I still wouldn't be creating the image. If we were to define the AI generated image as art, the AI would be the artist and I, as the person writing the prompt, would be the commissioner. If we define art as expressing oneself (which is what I believe), only sentient beings can create art, so the AI can't create art because it's not sentient. The art in that case would be the prompt itself, not what an AI makes out of it.
That's my personal view of AI, it's a topic I have lots of thoughts and feelings about and I just wanted to type them out.
