No, what you say about the Art spirit, about the thrill and passion of creation, is basically nonsense... The most important thing is the finished product. The final image. Only the final image can bring you to the ultimate goal---your satisfaction, to the market (consumers) and indeed to the desired profit you so deserve.
Mnaaa, i'm just tickle you. 😉
But basically, that's what most people see. And that's certainly what the promoters see. They don't care about all this stuff about the spirit and all the wonderful values you point out. Basically, art ( no matter the shape he will takes ) is power. So they want that power. Especially visualization, it is all around us (figuratively and literally). Open your window and you will see the view that unfolds before your eyes. But even not only in nature, but in human world too. In our society. All those billboards, glowing signs in stores, glowing signs promoting the new Coca-Cola or the new smartphone. These are all images made by Artists. It is so fascinating. I won't even mention...no, I'll mention them too...amazing anime and animation in general! I grew up with them. Animes, animations.
And even though what I said about the final product ( image ) is true ( for us, the true devoted (I dare to define myself as such person too) is also all the magic of creation, love, devotion, and the living spirit of art that you begin to feel when you are deeply devoted, you are no longer alone, the spirit of art is with you ) , AI in its current form should not exist.
Because, in fact, these days I have been talking to various AI defenders, explaining to them that these machines are not real AI and that they ( the so-called AIs ) make a mix of elements taken from other, real peoples---photographers and artists---and turn them in to a "new" images. Many of these AI lawyers said this was not the case and that the AI really "draws" everything from scratch. So that I began to hesitate, lest I should have misunderstood. But now that you've said that, I'll assume it's true. Either we are both wrong, or we are both right. In any case, there is a problem with the legitimacy of human labor. Especially since there is a discrepancy with the rights that musicians receive, and the lack of rights for artists. Looks like visual artists over again are the most screwed (or at least they're trying to screw us over, we'll see) But basically my point ((besides what I already said) is now that person, who are not a musician, can now "play". Person are not an artist, now can "draw / paint". If the machine can draw, make music AND NOT GIVE THOSE MATERIALS TO PEOPLE LIKE TO REAL PEOPLE, and it uses those materials for itself and only itself, then fine. But putting all these options in the hands of all people would destroy the industry and create chaos.
Until now, the branches---programmers and artists---were separated. And there are no problems. Everything was clear who belonged to whom. Now programmers have broken these boundaries and they have entered the field of art and in a very dirty and harmful way and basically they did this by using the artists for their dirty work. If a person want to draw then fine, great. Let that person go and learn to draw. Then I will respect that person. If person want to make music, then fine, great. Let that person take music lessons and learn to play. Then I will respect this person. But lazy, untrained people who just make an "Art" noise with their Ai puke, yeah, that pisses me off. face-orange-frowning
But out of all this mess we can take the good. For example, I reconsidered why I am an Artist. Why I do what I do.
Many people complained, they stop drawing because of AI. This is nonsense. If a person stops because of an AI, then that person was never a true Artist. Being an Artist is a way of life, a way of being. Spiritual, personal, mental growth. Art is a language, a way of communication. So everything that is happening now, and entirely for the good. And I really think that all these events will actually give a huge boost to real art. Many people trying these AI mixers will actually increase their interest in learning to be real professionals and artists.
So my apologies for the long comment, but I had to say this.
Now more Art than ever. Heads up. We have a battle to win
