The funny thing is, many jobs being eliminated because of the threat of AI have not actually been replaced yet by AI. I was laid off from a software company almost a year ago. My former co-workers are still doing the same job. AI has not yet replaced them. If AI really does work as expected, then it will replace the whole niche software altogether. So what is the real reason companies have scaled back ? Interest rates ?
