I know this is an old video so you'll probably never see this (25k comments!) but I am someone who is disabled. I have a neurological fatiguing illness so a lot of time I am too fatigued to do much of anything. If AI art was useful for any "artist" because of their disability, it would be someone who is completely unable to physically move around and make art. I am entirely bedbound and often have no energy for any kind of actual creative work. That being said, when I have the itch to create art, I still wouldn't use AI image generation. I actually had a phase recently where I wanted to get into making visual art and even with my limitations, I never once thought AI image generation was the way to go. I ordered colored pencils and a sketchbook and had my carer bring them to my bedside. The thing is, what I get from creating art is not just the end product. It is the process of learning and creating and looking back and seeing the work you put in and the building of a skill. None of that is possible if you are dependent on AI as a tool to make your art. I am a game designer and programmer, an aspiring indie developer. This is the main way I express myself creatively. There is a lot of AI art in my creative space (indie games) and I am glad to see consumers pushing back.
