He of course got himself here but I dont purely fault him. People blame the students but it's not their fault that they went to school in a time where AI is emerging and universities haven't caught up. Kids in school now face more temptation than ever with an machine that can do your homework for you thats always one click away and I think it's more of a failure on the education system to not to adjust curriculum. Whiteboard style exams could really set the reality check in for a lot of these people and weed them out before they wasted half a decade in school for nothing; but for some reason most of my professors just do online quizzes and exams. Genuinely I've taken classes where 95% of the course load you're just able to plug into an LLM and get an A. It is kind of soul crushing when I am actually interested in the material and enjoy the challenge that a CS degree offers while others are just plug and chugging into chatgpt
