You’re right, AI isn’t going away but the situation is definitely unfair to artists.
The best way I can think of regulating is 1) Back pay to artists because apparently the AI can’t forget so the point is kind of moot. 2) Make it an opt in function and artists that should get paid for any generation that takes training data from that. 3) Maybe water marks and citations for any generated art.
I can’t say these are the right answers because I don’t know the right answers, but best to make your voice heard as much as possible before they start and during the regulation infancy.
