This is just clip bait, a PR stunt abnd just a tiny bit of US Megalomania in display, to believe a tool developed (not just by Americans) will destroy us all. Let's be fair on this at least you are not the creators of the AI god (you just paid for it for refinement and market distribution), it's been created by the brains of many many many very very smart people from different places, nationalities, backgrounds and timeframes (talking about the scientists, engineers and researches over the last 50 years). Yes, jobs will disappear, same as during any phase of human innovation. Around a Century ago, most people couldn't read or do basic math, they had to adapt to the new market requirements, then came the typing machine, then came internet, then came excel, social media, Spotify, online payments, you name it. Every turn, changes came, job got lost and new opportunities arose. But her comes my "warning", yesterday a little red - hated app in the US did a small upgrade to their model, talking about "Deepseek" and it's now the 2nd best all round AI app, before Claude and even GPT (except the 4o mini), for free at a fraction of a cost if using it with an API. While having less data centers, working with outdated chips, being open source and let's be honest tested it and it's pretty amazing. So instead of hoping of having a Monopole, creating closed circuits of AI power by betting on trillion dollars of infrastructure, you should revisit your entire approach, or else be worried that within a year or 2 most people will have their own AI systems at home model it to their own use cases (and will probably develop AI engineering skills - probably helped by their own AI) and just not use your technology anymore that costs a staggering 200$ to use for professional goals), and all the money that was put in it (way too much if you ask me), will be worth nothing. Are we at the start of sth new, scary and exciting, yes, but we will always need humans, there is no market without us in the end...Let's talk about real problems, the raise of madness all over the world, Climate Change, a wabling/dying financial model, demographics as soon most western countries will just be seniors (50+ age avg, cause of human stupidity of greed. debt and not understanding the basics that better life conditions - without debt with on avg 10 hrs working days/high level of stress would kill the birthrates), all the wars going on (with your weapons)....Those are real problems, so let's address those first and I am SURE we will find ways to deal with AI. And if indeed it turns Skynet, so be it, we will have ourselves to blame for it (but then if that is the fear I don't understand why AI is used in the military - eg drones and finance by the people so called scared of if). Stop taking us for Idiots!
