Who is gonna be the one to say you owe money if someone has ChatGPT create them a song "in the style of"? Every band is influenced by someone who came before them and they end up sounding a lot like each other, without any AI intervention already. I can play you 1000's of Pop, Rock, Blues, Reggae, Country, etc songs that sound very similar to each other. I can't see how this can be regulated. Obviously, if the songs sound exactly the same or uses elements of already copywritten material, those instances get dealt with by obtaining usage rights or bands end up in court. If I ask ChatGPT to create me a song in the style of Blues, it's gonna sound like other Blues songs, that's all there is to it. There's nothing new under the sun that ANY human or AI can create that hasn't already been done 1000s of times.
