Um. I will save the long of it and go with the short. A lot of models are altered and trained in different ways. Night shade will in fact have the desired effect even training a lora. If it is trained and used on one of the base models. The further the model is away from its base the less effect it will have. I have several friends that are into the more tech side of this than the art. (aka going to school or even teaching about ai on a more fundamental level than I personally have an interest in.) They have explained this to me in multiple ways that I still cant wrap my head around but more or less all the added "poison" just gets compensated for or ignored? One did a demonstration of this by spending way to much time training a bunch on the same images with different levels of nightshade and glaze with different base models and again with different levels of antidote. The effects were exactly what they expected and had explained to me. The one that is in college even showed me an ai model that specifically "cleans" images of these tamperings. At this point its an arms race. One side comes up with a defense while the other comes up with a new way to break it. Which is honestly not surprising at all. Good luck in your fight. Copyright does get enforced and the large ai companies do go under, it will only be in the west. China has not given a single f about ANY copyright regardless of who is behind it or trying to enforce it ever. Meaning it will all just go overseas and people might have to use a vpn to get what they want. It does not stop. It just gets moved. Anthropic goes out of business, files bankruptcy, moves all the equipment and jobs to a new country, draws a 中国 over the An and continues on like it never happened.
