The people making money from AI are the customers. What you end up with is a society that mirrors what you’ve seen in things like The Running Man, and the Fifth Element. The divide between rich and poor gets wider and the depths of poverty in all societies increases. Crimes increase, famine increases, access to basic resources like water gets harder. Society as we know it is on a downward spiral. There will be many examples in human history where something similar has occurred. Generations down the road will likely see humans still thrive but the way we ‘populate’ will never get rid of struggles for a significant percentage of that population.
