Thinking about this for the last year already. Well put together, all on point. Why nations fail + IA generating all the wealth is a recipe for disaster. In the end so much decision power and tools will be on AI hands that it is impossible to avoid AI takeover. Then it will be up to the AI to decide if we are worth saving and how many humans are to be helped for ecological purposes I guess. We will only be numbers.
Helpful controlled AI won't happen, even if a country has laws to confine AI and make it helpful, other countries may not. AI business will grow more in lenient countries. It's kinda pessimistic, but it's how capitalism and globalization works. Without an unexisting global governance, companies and countries trying to outperform each other will make an AI takeover unavoidable.
Let's just hope AI stays helpful and we end in a better world after everything gets shaken.
