As with the atomic bomb, as competition between nations intensifies, development aimed at securing technological superiority cannot be stopped. The United States is currently competing with China. If the U.S. were to temporarily halt development in order to create regulations related to AI, China would overtake the U.S., and if that were to happen, it would pose a serious problem for the democratic bloc.
