I'm gonna risk upsetting people, as someone who went to art school and have transitioned into planning and urban design I think AI is a pragmatic art tool good for making presentations, games backgrounds, promotional images etc. Most art today is not made as an expression of artistic thought and freedom but grinding work to meet deadlines and other people's expectations. I saw a documentary how some animators have been exploited, underpaid and severely depressed during repetitive art that is based on others ideas. I believe true art will remain human but grinding repetitive work will go away and that will leave allot of artist out of work but it can also let people who would never try drawing, express their ideas.
