AIs can't think. Once you understand this you realise a lot of this speculation is completely driven by anthropomorphism. Yes it can be used to make things more efficient, but it doesn't sit there thinking "I am so bored I am going to get rid of all humans". It is a mathematical function that gets an input and produces an output. Without the input, it does nothing.
