Which is why the makers of these A.I. generators should leave in little things that make it easier to identify. Like the rubber lips, off teeth, slightly choppy pixelated voice at times.
Off behavior or interactions is a big red-light.
I pretty much expect the friend calls you up with a random number and says they are stuck in mexico and need money to get back scams.
If you feel its a legit call I would recommend contacting police cause they can contact local police in whatever location they say they are at and verify the individual personally, which would cause any scammers to stop contact or they will be busted. Givin the police in said location aren't corrupt.
I have been hearing about issues of scammers using A.I. of billionaires to get people to send money to them for investment.
