Predictive modelling tools are only as good as the data you feed. The criminal justice system itself is obviously biased in the first place (people are biased) eg towards skin colour when it comes to drug crime. If you feed biased data it’s gonna learn those inherent biases. This issue is present even in cutting edge tools like DALL.E from open AI.
