In my field, if anything, AI seems to have gotten dumber. And bosses are scrambling to rehire staff to monitor or outright fix the slop that AI has written
I blame this on the switch from scraping all accessible information to recursive learning, aka AI learning from AI. Given enough repetitions even small errors will compound and corrupt the models, similar to cancer growth. This is due to the fundamental flaw in LLM-"AI" not being true AI but just token repetition and pattern recognition machines, with no capacity for reasoning or logic
