As someone that doesn't really like ai but has had to use ai a few times for some reason or another, I mostly agree with all said in this video. Ai feels like a creative void, i see the images and dont feel anything. To name a few reasons i have used it: - Get color scheme ideas. Sometimes im designing a character and i want to check how some colors look together, but I always end up making changes. - Ai for quick concept. When working on a project for animation classes we had to submit the concept art for the characters, scenarios, everything... I focused on making the characters look good and then if i didnt have enough time to draw an stupid prop or room that would be used later, i just slapped an ai image on that part as a placeholder. - Ai for modeling. My teahcer wanted us to try a new tool that came out recently, is like an ai that analizes images and creates rough 3d model. This one isnt as bad since its like getting a base for sculpting it into a better shape while having some initial proportions, but it still needed a lot of work, specially texturing. And finally i want to point out one last use of ai: Coding... As a videogame design student that leans a lot more into the creative and visual side, being able to ask chatgpt about unity code instead of wasting hours searching on old forums saves me so much time... But even with that i try to understand the code the ai gives me and apply it correctly, not just copy and paste hoping it works.
