I'm a software engineer and I've never wished for a technology to fail more than AI... I know for a fact that I'm probably getting laid off in the upcoming years, but what's even more concerning to me is the majority WILL get laid of too making the job market oversaturated with talent making it harder to find a job even if I switched professions.
Now if you think that greedy CEOs that emphasis year on year incremental profit will just give you money while working less you're out of your mind. Even if AI never improve and we end up with AI slop products with low quality, they will still keep using it because no CEO or board of directors will say "let's just rehire our teams and pay them money we kept in our pockets for years as profit margin"
