I have a real issue trusting the inbred business elites of this country deciding what “good AI” is? They themselves lack empathy, so how can we expect them to build AI with empathy. If you disagree with me, you’re wrong, if I was wrong, the gap between the wealthy 1% to the rest of the population would not be so big. The worst thing that could happen in this world is not China winning this race, it’s American business winning it. Every modern problem we face is because of some business leader cutting a corner to get a slight edge, business will destroy this world.
Also, don’t give me that crap about how business innovates, it doesn’t, conflict does. There’s a reason the iPhone still looks the same since it was created 20 years ago, because business has been leading its innovation. I expect to see a bunch of innovation soon, and business will take the credit, but it’s the war in Ukraine that is propelling it, not business. Business is the destroyer on humankind and advancement, business is the world’s greatest evil, business is what will destroy us.
