My best analogy to LLMs is that they are like a rocket flying in a multidimensional space where the stars are tokens. Every time they pass by a star, i.e. emit a token, it changes their trajectory and steers them towards another region in that space. A "thinking" model is just a model that slingshots past several stars trying to aim better for the right region.
