I have a different perspective.
I cannot draw.
I occasionally use AI to generate images I could not create myself (and for which it would be impractical to commission an artist to make for me).
I cannot speak <insert foreign language>
I occasionally use AI to translate text/speech that I could not do myself (and for which it would be impractical to hire an interpreter).
I don't see a fundamental difference between the two. Saying it's OK for a human to use your art style but not an AI means the only way a non-artist could ever hope to create such works is to git gud. That's like saying you can't visit <insert foreign country> until you learn <insert foreign language>.
