A great video, revealing the lengths AI bros will go to try and defend their indefensible "skill". On the subject of creativity and art, I've just finished watching the latest video from YouTube 3D SFX artist Pwnisher which is called "Chasm's Call". For those not familiar with his channel, Pwnisher has for the last few years presented a challenge for fellow artists, 3D modelers, animators and riggers, to create a brief 10 - 15 second animation based on a template he had created in Unreal Engine. The rules are fairly simple. As long as you retain the basic camera movement and scene set up, the challengers have the freedom to make their animation however they feel like it. You have around a month to finish your work and to hand it in for consideration. The top 100 entries, judged upon by Pwnisher and a panel of fellow effects artists, would be shown in the top 100 compilation video and would receive some prizes. The top 10 entries get further prizes, including top 3d animating software, drawing tablets etc, while the top 3 and winning entry will gets some really cool animating and 3D design software, equipment and even motion capture gear. But with Chasm's Call, Pwnisher made it abundantly clear that NO AI software was to be used, not even to do any searches for reference images. And the result is over 3000 entries of some of the best animation, 3D terrain and character modelling, lighting, motion capture and story telling you'll see from amateur artists in the world. I'd greatly recommend any AI bros in this chat to give that channel a look and to see for themselves what REAL creativity is, not the souless, lifeless abominations of art theft they call "art".
