Universal basic income will never happen. How do I know? Because the wealthy class won't share their wealth in the form of education, health care, etc now when humans are working for them. Why would anyone think they will share it when AI and robots have replaced all human labor? They will never share it. The only way it happens is if the people own the means of production (socialism). If the public owns the AI and the robots, then we might have a universal basic income. But that won't happen (and I'm not suggesting we should be socialist, just making an observation).
