AI really has broken the brains of all these philosophical and cerebral people. AI is not intelligence, it is simulated interaction. It may feel like it's real and conscious, but that begs the question, are we just the sum of our words? Is consciousness ONLY the ability to string together syllables in a mathematically correct pattern that mimics the behaviors of those around us? You may not know all the variables that go into why you say what you say, but a soul is not the result of the calculation, the soul is the thing doing the calculation.
