The comments here are concerning. People hoping he’s right? So you want the entire structure of modern society to collapse? You realize Billions of people would die if that happened? If everyone gave a few more f*cks about science and technology we could all play a hand in trying to steer this technology into a good future (just like nuclear). Instead >50% of people would rather sit around calling AI the devil and then go work at an office/warehouse hating their life everyday. He’s right the negatives are obvious, but so are the positives if you stop being dense. We all need to stop complaining about possible futures that haven’t been decided, and instead try to be the change you want to see in the world.
