Capitalism (American style) demands that AI produces goods that people will buy. Since 99.9% of people won't have jobs, they won't be able to buy anything. Capitalism (American style) demands that people who are not obscenely wealthy receive no aid from the government and that the rich pay no taxes so the 99.9% will be forced into a state of barbarism and slavery (for whatever degenerate uses the obscenely rich will have for people i.e. torture, humiliation and blood sport). Industry will just churn out yachts and airplanes and mansions and gold plated garbage for the morbidly rich to consume. The poor will probably slowly die off from starvation and thirst as global warming devastates the majority of the globe. The rich will inbreed (they apparently can't keep their hands off their own daughters) and become slug-like abominations pampered by robots until AI finally gives up on them and let's them die.
