Raw LLM Responses

I'm pretty anti-AI as it stands, but there are a few models out there now that are primarily trained on ethically sourced data; stock images, public domain, and art from consenting artists, specifically. I use a branch of SDXL (which has been seriously working on cutting back a LOT on the amount of unethically-sourced material in its newer datasets) that's been retrained multiple times on free-use and consented works multiple times to try and train out most of the original data. I also have a custom low-rank model I've trained on my own artwork to further filter the possibility of pulling in styles and data that isn't my own, and retrain regularly on new art I've made. As soon as I can get my hands on a copy of Adobe Firefly (if they ever decide to release a public branch) or a model similarly trained, I plan to immediately. That said, I also don't use AI like most 'ai bros' do; I draw everything in the composition by hand, and the AI is only used to tidy up what I've done myself - mostly to reduce the amount of time I spend doing linework and smoothing over my rendering after I've done flat colors and basic shading/lighting. It adds nothing to the image, just helps me finish my work faster. I think there's ways to use AI that genuinely can be helpful to artists. I just hate that the moment I mention AI as part of the workflow of any piece I immediately get called 'not an artist', or my work 'slop' - so I just don't share any of it. I'm just trying to keep up with the times while being as ethically aware as possible; I know it's not going to go away, and I'd really rather not be left behind once it (likely eventually) gets pushed on me at my workplace. :/
