All computers and related machinery require power, mostly electrical. When an electrical magnetic pulse hits from a nuclear attack or a large solar pulse, the grid goes down for years. The computers are useless. This is the most frightening thing in the future. Robots need electricity to recharge, as do self-driving cars. Banking and medical stop, too. Do you understand this?
