Interesting thoughts, like others have said, it depends on what defines consciousness and whether neural networks will ever reach a stage of “self-awareness” and if not, if AI becomes in the hands of benevolent vs evil doers. The exponential growth of technology vs the human race’s ability to manage it, given our limited abilities to even interact and get along. The race to which happens first. Hope.
