A unified system sounds fragile. Electricity doesn't seem reliable enough to make absolutely everything dependent on it. Seems so easy to bomb a data center. Hurricanes. Seems easy to have AI figure out ways to sabotage systems. Lots of drinking water being used while the earth heats up.
