It tragic that artists are hoping for legal protection while the legal system in the US has been slanted in favour of rich big companies for a long time. The current executive branch is favouring big tech too so and possibly removing democracy from the system. In the best case artists will be sacrificed on the alter of progress, probably they will be purged as socialists, but they might even be hunted down as despised intellectual vermin.
Humans are far worse then AI, as AI tries to be human, but many humans do not have such ambitions.
